2000:

electric crayons goes international! with the opening of our barcelona office and our ability to offer services in spanish, french and german, electric crayons puts the "world" into the world wide web.

1996:

electric crayons moves into our first "real" office—on market street in oakland, next to a baptist church, in a building we shared with construction workers and janitorial services. our staff expands to three—tammy, coworker "len" and fab designer "eric"—in a one-room office. talk about togetherness!

going for a" third generation" design here. after a sermon from the guru of web design, david seigel, we were seeking a clean, slick look

we filled the frame with color and motion. it was a popular look, but alas, all things must change
our new design is our most playful yet, and also our most fact-filled; an interactive tour of the world of electric crayons

baby steps on the information superhighway. the collage of hipness represents electric crayons' colorful view of the world wide web

we debuted our new and current logo on a white background with a clean and focused look

1995:

webmistress Tammy Beaulieu takes the leap, maxes out her credit card and starts electric crayons in the bedroom of her rent-controlled Berkeley apartment.

With a "staff" of two (herself, and her now-husband James), she completes her first project—the UbiSoft website—in a record 21 days.

1997:

electric crayons snags our biggest client yet: netscape. we provide a "start to finish" approach for designing the website of one of the top two web browser companies in the world—planning, implementation and maintenance. we also move into swank new digs in oakland's tony preservation park—next to a unitarian church, this time. is there a theme here?

this is from waaay back in the day:
our first home page

1998:

electric crayons is awarded a very prestigious design award. you can still see it hanging on our wall—right next to the photo of tammy's mother and her dog, ben.

1999:

we moved again! true, just down the hall, but our new three-room suite means that everyone gets their own chair ... no more sitting on laps!

we like to call this a walking tour of electric crayons past. there's a lot of different flavors, and it's fun to see how far we've come. take a look and enjoy.
